Project TANGO is taking place from 1 January 2009 to 31 December 2010. The purpose of the project is an allround design of structure and functioning of a testing organization for Czech drivers including devising methodical and economy principles of its activities. In countries with positive accident rate, long-term experience has unequivocally proved that the final testing quality has basically positive influence on the demands and professional level of prior instruction of future drivers including professionals.

Expected pluses
  • implementation of a completely new organization of driver testing in compliance with long-term positive experience in developed European countries

  • allround solution of structure, functions, authority and methods of a driver testing organization, thus attaining high standard of final examinations

  • the testing officers shall be employees of sole nationwide organization, this creating prerequisites for the application of uniform methodics in their activities and attaining high standards of their service; for the same reason, high operationality standards where a testing officer can be assigned as necessary (different from current practice) in locations with high driver test applicants

  • attaining stable high demands of final testing shall substantially reduce the accident rate of beginners - drivers,

  • a more demanding professional driver testing should substantially increase their abilities to perform the job

  • regarding the fact that the testing organization is to be designed in accordance with European management trends, a higher level of public service rendered on the part of wider public may be expected

The final results of the project will be published in English in the spring of 2011.
